CHALLENGE Cap Quebec City is one of the qualifying races for THE CHAMPIONSHIP. In total, 72 slots are available for qualification for the 2026 edition.

One slot is allocated for each of the top six in each age group (male and female) in the CHALLENGE FAMILY Half and Long Distance races. Slots will roll down to 12^th place in each category.

Qualified athletes will have four weeks to confirm their slot after the qualification race. They will receive their time slot via email after the race.

Slots for Challenge Family Professional Athletes

One slot is allocated for each of the top six male professional competitors in all Challenge Family Half and Long Distance races during the qualification period (six slots per race).

One slot is allocated for each of the top six female professional competitors in the Challenge Family Half and Long Distance races (six slots per race).

No transfers.

Every year, the Technical Committee of Triathlon Quebec updates the competition rules. These rules are an adaptation of the regulations of World Triathlon, taking into account the specific reality of Quebec athletes and events. They aim to ensure the smooth running of the race in a safe environment, promoting fair competition.
